Game Dev Tycoon is now available on Nintendo Switch™

The day has come, the time is now, Game Dev Tycoon is on Switch, kapow!?
Thank goodness we are better at making games than rhyming... anyway, release day is here!

If you are interested, you can checkout the Game Dev Tycoon store page on the Nintendo e-shop (it looks rather nice!) or find the game directly from your Switch console.

The Switch version is priced at 14.99USD or your local equivalent, comes optimized for touch and Joy-Con controls and includes the new cross-platform save feature.

Cross-platform save support rolling out + fun interactive games

With the Switch release, we are rolling out a free update to our other platforms (mobile, tablets and PC^*) that adds cross-platform save support.
This essentially allows you to take your save file with you or share it with others and continue playing wherever you like.

^* updates to Mac and Linux versions are only available on Steam at the moment.

Play Game Dev Tycoon with us

A nice side effect of the cross-platform save feature is that it can also be used to share save files with others. We are using this to great effect at the moment on our Discord server where you can join the very first collaborative Game Dev Tycoon run-through. The idea is simple: a player takes the save-code from the previous player (by responding with a raise hands emoji), plays a little, then posts an update on Discord narrating the progress and providing a new save-code for the next player to continue.
